Robotics Club's busy season is rapidly approaching! Next semester, starting on Monday, January 8th, we will begin having Robotics meetings every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday until 4 PM unless otherwise communicated through Remind 101. Members are encouraged to come to whatever meetings they are available for; every bit helps!
In this post, please read the information about Kickoff and the parent meeting.

Kickoff 1/6/18, 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Kickoff is the annual event where FIRST robotics announces the new year's competition and robot specifications through an online video. The video will stream at https://www.firstinspires.org/robotics/frc/kickoff-broadcast from 10:30 to 12:00; we will meet at the high school to watch the video and plan our robot from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Parents are invited to join us for part or all of the event!
Since kickoff is an all-day event, we plan to provide lunch for attendees. If anyone is able to bring in food, drinks, plates, etc., please let us know ASAP. Otherwise, we will collect $5 from each member who wishes to partake of pizza. Information about food will be announced before kickoff through Remind 101.
Parent Meeting 1/11/18, 6:00 to 7:00 PM
In the coming season, and future years, there are changes in how NGHS Robotics will function. Our club is now four years old, and we want to take the next steps in making the club more stable: organize carpools farther ahead of time, plan finances better, attract more sponsors and mentors, and most importantly, involve parents in our club more.
At this meeting, we will share the current state of our club's finances and plans for the future, and listen to our community's input. Parents and students alike are encouraged to attend!
Riverside Elementary Science Night 1/25/18, 5:30 to 7:00 PM
Riverside Elementary has invited NGHS Robotics back to their annual science night to inspire elementary students for STEM! We are looking for a few Robotics team members to volunteer. Reply to this email or the Remind 101 to let us know if you are interested.
Let us know if you have any questions!
We are very excited about the coming season.
If your business, or a friend's, might be able to sponsor us, let us know! Every bit helps.
