Dalton Competition, 3/8-10
We will be staying in a hotel overnight at Dalton.
Food
We will be ordering pizza for most meals during competition. However, snacks are greatly appreciated, so we encourage team members and/or parents to bring snacks to share.
Alternatively, if your family would like to donate a meal to feed our 30-person team, please reply to this email.
Carpool
We need your parents to volunteer to carpool in the afternoons of Thursday, March 8 (to Dalton, GA) and Saturday, March 10 (home from Dalton, GA). If your parent can carpool, respond to this email with your name, parent's name, which day(s) they can drive, and number of students they can seat in your car (don't count driver's seat, but do count yourself).
This year, we are arranging all transportation to and from competition through the club, rather than allowing students to meet us there.
**If you have extenuating circumstances, contact our sponsor Ms. Christman at [email protected] .ga.us .
The price for each student attending depends on if we get enough carpool volunteers. If we don't get enough carpool volunteers by 1/26, we will have to rent a school bus to go to competition, which is extremely expensive-- $120 more per person.
Dalton fee per student with transportation via carpool: $110
Dalton fee per student with transportation via bus: $230
These fees cover hotel rooms, part of team registration fee, breakfast Friday and Saturday, lunch Friday and Saturday, and dinner on Thursday (For Friday, we are getting dinner at a restaurant, and everyone will need to bring money to cover their meal).
